The automatic dog waterers have optional thermal covers, sold separately.  The "Chiller Cover" is a 3/16 inch laminated, metalized bubble cover that reflects the sun's rays, helping keep the water container cool. Try this when it gets hot. Freeze a gallon jug of water and drop it into your critter cooler like a big ice cube, close and then cover with the chiller cover and the water in the bowl stays cool all day.

Our Automatic Water Bowls have an optional Heavy Duty (HD) cover that are sold separate. They are constructed of marine grade canvas and are tear resistant. They will fit over a Chiller Cover, so will help protect the Chiller Cover from your chewers. Although nothing is guaranteed absolutely safe from a determined canine. HD Covers also help in cold climates. Since they are dark , will absorb any sunlight, and an HD Cover over a Chiller Cover will help resist freezing. Prolonged cold weather will freeze anything, but this definitely helps insulate. Hot Tip: A customer in the Rockies told me on those cold nights he will place a 12 hour hand warmer packet on top of the Critter Cooler, then cover with the Thermal Cover and the HD Cover and that system seems to work well to keep the water from freezing for his huskies.

The Automatic Water Bowl has an optional Replaceable Water Tray, sold separate. Made from FDA approved, food grade material, it nests within the automatic water bowl and uses a different drain plug. Made for dog lovers who don't find the time to clean out the dog water bowl can just replace the Water Tray. Note: to replace the Water Tray, you must remove the water valve first to insert the tray.

 

 

 

The dog water bowl has an optional drip tray called the Slobber Saucer. It will not stop your sloppy, drooling pooch from dripping all over the floor, but it will catch the small droplets that can stream down the side of the bowl. The Slobber Saucer is not compatible with the optional, plastic tray insert.
